Review the calculation before publishing
A polished payslip still depends on correct source records. Check earnings, deductions, adjustments and the final amount against an approved payroll run. Use representative employees during rollout, including anyone with an allowance, loan or attendance adjustment, so the review covers more than basic salary.
Check the employee’s private view
Test payslip access from a regular employee account and confirm that the intended period is visible after publication. Make account activation part of the release checklist. A published document is not proof that every employee can sign in and open it.
Make pay questions easier to resolve
Agree who handles a question about an amount and which records they use to investigate. Keep the relationship between the reviewed payroll run and the payslip understandable. If a correction is needed, follow the approved adjustment process rather than silently changing a historical explanation.
